余光中，（1928-）祖籍福建永春，生于江蘇南京，1947年入金陵大學外語系（后 轉入廈門大學），1949年隨父母遷香港，次年赴台，就讀于台灣大學外文系。 1953年，與覃子豪、鐘鼎文等共創“藍星”詩社。后赴美進修，獲愛荷華大 學藝術碩士學位。國立台灣大學外文系畢業，美國愛荷華大學藝術碩士。歷任台灣師範大學、台灣大學、政治大學、香港中文大學教授，並先後赴美講學四年，現任中山大學文學院教授。
